Terms and Conditions

Invoices for work will be issued either on completion of the work, or at the beginning of the month where a job is ongoing and work is part completed. Write House’s terms require payment fourteen (14) days from the date of invoice, unless alternative written arrangements have been made. Progress payments at will be required for part completion of work and will be invoiced at the beginning of each month. All invoices will require payment on the same terms set out in this agreement.

Write House will retain all the title, copyright and printing rights to all work produced: (a) ownership & artwork will be transferred once your account has been paid in full; and (b) any work which the client elects not to use for any reason whatsoever will be retained by Write House.

Services will not be supplied to clients with overdue accounts until such time as their account is brought up to date. We reserve the right to charge overdue account fees not in excess of the current Bankwest (credit) card rate. Write House will have the right to retain possession of any work produced and materials which are the property of the client until such time as the account is paid within the agreed terms of trading. In the event of nonpayment of an account, the client agrees that Write House will be entitled to claim all legal costs, interest and damages incurred by it in recovering the debt. If debt collection is required for unpaid invoices, The Client is responsible for any costs incurred (fees/commission payable to the debt collectors).

Quotations will be accepted by the client upon signature of the Write House Quote Form or by confirmation in writing. After a quotation is accepted by the client, cancellation will incur a fee. All work not completed within a 3 month period will be invoiced regardless. The cancellation fee will be calculated on the percentage of work carried out to the date of cancellation, such calculation to be in the sole discretion of Write House, based on its hourly charge rate.

All quotations are valid for 30 days. Any quote not accepted within this time is subject to a requote. All prices are quoted in Australian Dollars unless stated otherwise. Any additional work not quoted, or outside the original scope relating to the project will be charged at the Write House hourly rate. Write House is not responsible for increases in materials by third parties.

Should a client request alterations either:
(a) work has commenced in accordance with the original brief received by Write House; or
(b) after approval by the client of the final work produced, the client agrees to pay a fee, relative to the complexity of the alterations, and time and materials necessary to effect the alterations. Determination of the complexity of cost of the alterations will be at the sole discretion of Write House. Calculations will be based on actual expenses and based on its hourly charge rate at the time.

While every effort is made to ensure correctness, the final responsibility for checking the content, layout and spelling remains with the client. No verbal approvals will be accepted. Written approval is required prior to work being released. The client is responsible for any costs associated with reprint and production costs should they choose to print again. No refunds will be issued by Write House.

Any claim for faulty workmanship is to be raised within seven (7) days of the provision of the work to the client. Any claim is limited to resupply of the work on the part of Write House, with no liability for consequential or any other loss.

Any completion date provided in a Quotation is an estimate only. Write House services are subject to provision of a clear written brief from the client, and Write House is not liable for late delivery or non-delivery of information or instructions by the client.

Write House will not be held responsible for license rights issues associated with any images provided by client or requested for purchase by client. Whilst all care is taken, Write House does not take responsibility for any printing errors, using client chosen printers, unsupervised by Write House.
